Where can I Rent Bike on Maui?

There are multiple local bike shops with premium mountain bikes for rent. Two of our favorites and MMBC Sponsors are Krank Cycles in Makawao and Kahului, and Maui Sunriders in Kihei and Paia. Make sure you reserve ahead of time in order to secure the bike you prefer.

Can I bring my Own Bike to Maui?

Traveling with a bike is easier than ever, most airlines charge the same price as a checked bag to bring a bike in a box or travel case. Of course, check with your airline for current rates. Consider having one of the local shops assemble your bike if you aren’t confident with your mechanic skills.

What’s the best time of day to ride?

The best time to ride is any time you can get away with it! On a serious note, most local riders prefer early morning or late afternoon to avoid the mid day sun. That said, Makawao forest is definitely temperate enough to ride any time of day. Always bring plenty of water and sunscreen.
